Naturally preserving a forest

2/10/2025 — Community

Since 23 October 2023, we have been supporting a 72-hectare natural forest reserve in Wachau, Austria. By partnering with the Austrian Federal Forests (ÖbF) organisation, we support the preservation of this emerging native forest. Home to 62 native species of trees – some of which are over 250 years old – as well as rare wildlife, this biodiversity hotspot will remain untouched, maintaining the natural balance for future generations and providing deep learnings for a climate change proof forest. Moreover, dead wood in the forest preserves significant amounts of CO2, and retains and saves water, contributing to environmental sustainability.
