"There is a really positive working environment. I feel at home here"

— Jonathan voor de Poorte

"At Kramp, I feel at home: both professionally and personally."

Before joining Kramp, I spent around 15 years in web development. The first eleven years were with a digital agency, working with various multinational clients, eventually growing into a senior front-end developer and technical consultant role. Later, I moved into the dynamic start-up scene in Amsterdam: exciting, but financially unstable. After several companies collapsed, my wife and I decided it was time for a change we had long discussed: moving east.

Once settled, I started my job search and was surprised to find several tech opportunities right here: six interviews within a week. One of them was with Kramp. What immediately stood out was not just the stability and scale Kramp offered after my start-up experience, but also the clear career path and long-term commitment I was looking for.

What really convinced me, though, was the team. Before accepting the offer, I spent a day with my future colleagues. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The team genuinely tried to convince me to join, and that says a lot about Kramp’s culture.

Now, three years later, I can say every promise has been kept. It truly is a great atmosphere, with real opportunities to grow. I have the freedom to shape my role, collaborate across departments, and use my strengths in communication and connecting people. The work itself is diverse and challenging. We are modernizing Kramp’s webshop across Europe, country by country, using the latest tech-stack and learning together as a team of highly skilled professionals. Some of the technologies were new to me, but the collaborative environment made it easy to learn and adapt.

While based in Varsseveld, we also work closely with colleagues at Utrecht, which adds a dynamic, cross-location element to our projects. There’s a strong culture of knowledge-sharing, and every day brings something different.

And importantly, Kramp values work-life balance. Unlike many companies where long hours are the norm, here your private life is truly respected. People are motivated, work hard, and take responsibility, but are equally encouraged to disconnect and recharge. It creates a positive, healthy working environment where I can contribute, grow, and feel at home.
